With this group there has been a lot of debate over what parts are true and what parts made up about Eckankar history and religion. It took a long time to even admit that any pseudo elements existed and how much the extent. Like it was a big deal or something. However, this kind of thing has happened with religions a long, long time ago. And people have been living with this kind of thing a long, long time as well. And on a much, much vaster scale! Because whether people want to admit it, or not, most of the world's organized religions are rife with pseudo history and embellished stories. The scale is huge! And I can't say how much was corrupted from the beginning compared with what they have come to be, but this kind of thing is not new at all. It's been around a long long time!

One of the huge letdowns for me about Eckankar was finding out it was just more of the same. More of the same storytelling bullshit that so many people came to believe literally. And then when the truth gets found people divide into camps and argue over what they each believe to be true. Often in spite of glaring evidence!

So I'm thinking like: "Can't Eckankar be different from the rest?" I mean, if Eckankar really, really wants to make a difference and amount to something, Can't it just come out and tell the plain truth about it's history? I mean, What is wrong Harold that you can't just tell the plain truth and come clean? Why can't you be a real leader and tell the plain truth for a change instead of dancing around the truth year after year?

I've always thought that for Eckankar to be legit and something really special it had no other choice than to tell the plain truth. To be honest. There is no other way. And yet we have seen decades and decades of more of the same. More of the same that has been going on for centuries already. There are a lot of good insights in the teachings and the religion, but let them exist in context to the truth. Don't take all those good writings and corrupt them with so many bullshit stories. That's now how you get at the truth, by taking something good an tarnishing it with so many blinds of misinformation. I mean, get real Eckankar. You're really not fooling anybody. This story of deception is so old and so disgusting I doubt the world needs more of it.

Eckankar could really be special, but it has to tell the truth. And it has to tell the truth from the top. Because all of those Eckists who could make Eckankar really special too, they can't really do that unless the leadership is on board as well. Everybody has to be on the same page. The one that just tells the damn truth! I just pray it will happen someday and all the world will live as one. I pray it will happen not just with Eckankar, but with other organized religions too. This is the only way to evolve toward the truth. First by following the truth and continuing in the direction that it leads. This is how people truly learn and discover. You don't get there by refusing the truth and selling fantasy stories in its stead. I think too many so-called spiritual leaders are immature where they think that the best story rates as the best spiritual path.
Wow. The world's not truthful enough for you? Join the club. What's amazing is that you're 58 years old and still haven't gotten over the fact. What everyone learns sooner or later.

But unlike what most people do, which is make a plan, you don't have a plan. You just want to tinker with what's demonstrably proven to be false and insincere. Good luck with that. Good luck with turning falsehood into truth or changing people's minds without knocking your imagination right off its utopian perch.

Ideals and utopian dreams are fine as long as you don't cross the line, expecting them to happen, rather that what they are - useful tools to (maybe) effect some positive compromise. Hence, a plan. Which you don't have.
