Initially, the reason I did it, was to clarify fact from fiction. What were actual really-did-happen true events and What were not? When was the month and date when the founder of Eckankar, Paul Twitchell, knowingly drank poison (like the Buddha)? Who? or What? was / is Rebazar Tarzs really? Etc., etc.
And although the historical events (versus the pseudo / imaginary events) are to me still important, so are the public criticisms by current and former members of Eckankar. Criticisms levelled against people honestly seeking to clarify fact from fiction regarding Eckankar and religion in general.
Eckankar is not a religion where members have to feel threatened by other members who advance imaginations and fictions to replace actual fact. In fact, nobody should have to fear this. Because even in spite of "Freedom of Religion", it is still oftentimes criminal to undermine actual fact. That's why people must swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth in court. It's why trials by jury involve more than just one, or two people.
If someone claims that Rebazar Tarzs came into their home and spoke with them, others have every right to say "Prove it!"
The founder of Eckankar, Paul Twitchell, wrote that Rebazar Tarzs came into his home and asked him to write a book. Said he would tell Paul Twitchell what to write. The book was called Dialogues With The Master.
And when so many of those dialogues / dictations amount to plagiarized passages from multiple authors instead? And not just in one Eckankar book, but several?
What does Eckankar officially say about Rebazar Tarzs? Let's explore the spiritual teachers section of the official Eckankar website.

Click on Rebazar Tarzs and you will find essentially what the founder, Paul Twitchell, wrote in the 1960s and 1970s before he died. Other than that you might find the recorded experiences of members.
Here is one member's example you won't find on the official Eckankar website.
