Well sure, no arguments there. In fact in many different places europe to australia to canada to israel any "covid passports" i have seen heard about automatically include people who had been infected before .... and therefore have a level of immunity.
so that's not really an issue (but maybe not all will do it that way .. again these are future plans not living realities in most places.
besides that natural infection wasn't a better option for the 4,574,364 people who have died from covid-19 disease and associated secondary deadly illnesses that arose, right?
while the greater majority (+90%?) do not die many end up with long covid ... and so these issues need to be part of the "discussion" too. at different times covid-19 death rates for those who got infected has been 10%, 6% or 4% or 2% or 1% depending on where they were, what the background situation is with health systems and more.
for people in poor countries with little to no respirators or ICUs or hospitals or doctors or oxygen supplies getting a vaccine is probably a damned good idea .... quite sane a rational and much better than wining it.
Of course, it;'s natural that having a broader range of choices is typically a first world problem to have.
My position? People should have access to covid vaccines and have the choice to have a jab or not.
people should have the opportunity to hear the options, hear about the science medical advice, and still have a choice to take a jab or not.
in the meantime it looks to me that the govt imposed rules surrounding covid restrictions vary between every 190 countries, because these are essentially political decisions based on each country's situation .. and health advice of their experts (?) their guiding politics, health circumstances, economic situation, religion and culture and competency etc etc etc .
from what i have heard most of the poorer developing nations are requesting as much vaccines as they can get. It's a choice. some richer nations now have a 80% double does coverage .... others less, it depends. While some people refuse to get a jab. None of this is going to stop.
meanwhile people's choices will keep changing. and govts will keep making decisions about what they will do as the circumstances change.
the Victorian Govt has made their decisions. Trump made his. Biden his., US sates make their own choices. so does Britain. and Israel. and Russia and everyone else.
and as sure as the sun comes up tomorrow all those countries govts will make different decisions as the future unfolds. People will keep dying jabbed or not jabbed, and people will keep getting sick, and others won't get sick but will pass on the virus to others.
The virus will mutate and get worse, or mutate and get less harmful. a new treatment may arise. Govts will keep making decisions about lockdowns and vaccinating their populations and so on. Who knows what will happen? I sure don't. except new information will arrive. and that people will keep having their own opinions about what is right for them and they country. then agree and disagree with others.
the other definite is that 4.5 million will still be dead and (most of) their friends and family will grieve and miss them. and many will keep on blaming China for everything.
