With the Constitution this has to be done by adding another amendment that repeals the one you want to appeal. This is how the eighteenth amendment that created Prohibition was repealed by the twenty first amendment - which basically leaves alcoholic beverage regulations up to state and local municipalities.

The second amendment is an eighteenth century relic from a time when there was no standing army and militiamen had to answer the call to assemble with their own weapons. The only use today is to intimidate lawmakers and incite the paranoid, existentially terrified, and emotionally insecure in the population.

Adding a constitutional amendment isn't impossible at all. Several amendments have been added in recent times. Including the one that gave eighteen year olds the vote.

If I lived there I'd support that.

I see a lot of US gun nuts very upset at Australia for being mostly
gun-free, because our existence doesn't support their position, it's
most inconvenient for them

Dear Lord Jesus please help those who sincerely seek the truth understand the Statue of Liberty symbolizes the mother of Jesus which the Pope, as proxy for the Son of God has idol-sex with to manifest a kingdom of pagan gentiles who believe in cannibalism just like Spain has a record of for eating its convicted criminals shortly after the return of Columbus to Spain. Dear Lord Jesus please protect me from the Trolls who believe Pope Oedipus' love interest in New York harbor should NOT be replaced with a giant bell rang 8 times every noon for 8 bells cast from the copper in the statue of lady liberty. May liberty ring forever. Amen.
