Maybe he was inspired by his former teachers. Premananda, Kirpal Singh, L. Ron Hubbard, etc. He did write favorably of the latter two at one point.

I mean, Where do you think Twitchell learned about Ekankar, Sat Nam, Anami, etc.? Ruhani Satsang, Radhasoami and others used that vocabulary and Paul became familiar with it. Paul also used Scientology terminology in his writings.

Plagiarism is a form of theft. It is not "borrowing". There is a difference.
